Fonds consists of numerous philatelic records. Ten commemorative postal covers, issued during the period 1968-1971, to mark the fiftieth anniversaries of various Canada and Newfoundland pioneer air mail first flights, including: Montréal - Toronto (1918); Toronto - New York (1919); Truro - Charlottetown (1919); St. John's - Clifden, Ireland (1919); St. John's - Victoria (1920); souvenir postal covers issued on the occasion of The Great London - Victoria Air Race, July 1971. The Royal Trust Company sponsored some of these flights and participated in others. 132 postage stamps, 1967, are foreign-issues honouring EXPO '67, that were assembled and exhibited by the Royal Trust Company. Three Royal Trust Company cacheted private issue commemorative covers issued to mark the occasion of the amalgamation of the twin cities of Port Arthur and Fort William into the City of Thunder Bay on 1970-01-01, with the city of Port Arthur and city of Fort William covers postmarked. 1969-12-31. 21 last day of operation postmarked covers, 1970, from various Alberta, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Québec Post Offices. The Royal Trust arranged to have these 21 covers sent out from the post offices.

Fonds also contains numerous medals. 74 commemorative medals, 1967, were struck during the Centennial for all levels of government: federal, provincial, civic, as well as for individuals. The medals were assembled by the Royal Trust as its Centennial project. One Royal Trust 75th Anniversary Medal, 1974.

Fonds also contains a sound documentary entitled Winston S. Churchill: his memoirs and speeches, 1964.

Royal Trust Company : The Royal Trust Company was founded in 1899 in Montreal with a one staff member and a Board of Directors consisting of some of the most wealthy and prominent Canadians of that period. Royal Trust expanded to Toronto and St. John's Newfoundland in 1901, and opened its first full service branch in Winnipeg in 1903. By 1914, the company had branches in all of Canada's major cities and an agency in London, England. Royal Trust exanded during the nineteen fifties and 'sixties by buying several domestic trust companies, by greater market share in the mortgage lending field and the real estate business and continued international growth. In 1956 the company established Classified Funds for Pension Trusts. Also in that period, it entered the Canadian money market, entered the mutual fund industry, and its international growth included expansion into the United States. The company went public with the listing of stock in 1967. By 1974, Royal Trust had 130 offices in Canada, the United States and Europe. Corporate reorganizations over 1976 to 1978, led to the establishment, under federal charter, of Royal Trustco Limited to serve as a parent company, and Royal Trust Corporation of Canada to assume control of Royal Trust's Canadian trust operations, save those in Quebec, which continued to be operated by the Royal Trust Company.

Royal Trust's real estate brokerage and fee business was merged with that of the real estate company A.E. LePage in 1984, creating Royal LePage, a company that would become a 54% owned division within the Trilon Financial Group in 1987. Royal LePage would be a privately owned company by 2000.

The Royal Bank purchased other operations of Royal Trust in 1993, making them part of the Royal Bank Financial Group. The bank placed some of the bonds acquired with Royal Trustco into a newly created holding company: Gentra Inc.. Royal Trust's pension management operations became RT Capital Management, the Royal Bank's pension management arm, and one of the largest such firms in Canada. , June 2000. , June 2000.
