Fonds consists of documents and papers of The Toronto Philatelic Club (later The Toronto Stamp Collectors' Club). This collection principally contains textual records created between the years 1892 and 1978 and concerns the philatelic activities of the Toronto-based club during those years.

The collection has been arranged by file. Notable topics include: club statutes and constitution, officers' annual reports, minutes of meetings and financial statements, applications for membership, membership lists and correspondence, attendance registers, news clippings, notices of meetings and bulletins, and general correspondence and other interesting documents.

The records also contain information on the Stamp Exhibition for Boys (1927-1928), the Toronto Stamp Exhibition (1929-1938), and the First Canadian National Philatelic Exhibition (CNE).

Toronto Stamp Collectors' Club : The Toronto Philatelic Club was founded on 12 October 1892. In 1923, the club was renewed and the name changed to the Toronto Stamp Collectors' Club. The club's name variously appears in official records as the Toronto Stamp Collectors' Club, the Toronto Stamp Collectors Club and occasionally as the Toronto Stamp Collector's Club.

The Toronto Stamp Collectors' Club was founded to promote stamp collecting and philately. A community-based organization, the club has also developed close ties with other Canadian and American philatelic organizations. Its major activities have included lectures, exhibitions, auctions, and social events.

The club was active in youth philately. A Junior Branch was formed officially in 1927. In order to encourage participation by young people, an annual exhibition was begun in 1926. Known initially as The Boys' Exhibition, the name was changed to the Toronto Stamp Collectors' Annual Exhibition.

In 1934, the Toronto Stamp Collectors' Club amalgamated with the Toronto Branch of the Canadian Philatelic Society. The club was affiliated with the Canadian Philatelic Society from 1934 to 1941. This connection was later renewed when the TSCC became a chapter of what is now known as the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada.

Famous members of the club include: Vincent Graves Greene, Fred Jarrett, Jim Sissons, Walter S. Bayley, Colin H. Bayley, Fred Stulberg, Arthur Leggett, and Goodwin Harris.
