Montreal Fruit and Produce Terminal Company : Montreal Fruit and Produce Terminal Company, a Canadian National subsidiary company, was incorporated under Dominion Letters Patent dated 24 July 1929 to undertake all forms of business involving dairy and garden produce in Canada. It was formed as a result of recommendations made by a Canadian National committee after investigating conditions in connection with handling fruit traffic into Montreal. It constructed a large new building on railway property, much of which was leased to merchants in the trade. The company did not exercise all its wide powers, carrying out a useful business in the Montreal area in obtaining fruit and vegetable traffic for the railway. RG30 General Inventory
