Canadian Northern Telegraph Company : The Canadian Northern Telegraph Company was incorporated under Dominion Act, Cap. 51 of 15 May 1902 to operate a telegraph business. It constructed and operated lines along the route of the Canadian Northern Railway. On 1 January 1915 the company obtained a controlling interest in the Great North Western Telegraph Company of Canada. The business of both companies was carried on under the name of the latter. On 17 September 1920 the name of the Canadian Northern Telegraph Company was changed to Canadian National Telegraph Company. RG30 General Inventory
