Rainy River Bridge Company : The Rainy River Bridge Company was incorporated under the laws of the state of Minnesota on 28 February 1906. Its purpose was to construct, in conjunction with a Canadian Company, the Canadian-Minnesota Bridge Company a bridge across the Rainy River at a point near Fort Frances, Ontario, and Rainer, Minnesota, in order to connect the Canadian Northern Railway and the Duluth, Rainy Lake and Winnipeg Railway. The bridge was built in 1907 and opened for traffic on 14 June 1908. The portion of the bridge in the United States is now the property of the Duluth, Winnipeg And Pacific Railway.
