Minnesota and Ontario Bridge Company : The Minnesota and Ontario Bridge Company was incorporated on 21 December 1899 under the laws of the state of Minnesota for the purpose of constructing a railway bridge across the Rainy River between Ontario and Minnesota. It was designed to connect the Canadian Northern Railway and the Minnesota and Manitoba Railroad. A steel bridge was constructed by Mackenzie, Mann and Company and was opened for traffic on 10 October 1901. Under a lease effective 1 October 1901 it was leased to the Canadian Northern Railway which acquired the capital stock of the bridge company in 1903. The Minnesota and Ontario Bridge Company still exists as a subsidiary of the Canadian National Railway Company. RG30 General Inventory
