These records consist of files of aircraft accident investigations conducted in 1978 in the different regions across Canada.

Custodial history:

Ces dossiers créés par Transports Canada proviennent du Bureau de la sécurité des transports (RG 156) où ils ont été transférés au moment de la creation de cet organisme en 1990. Nous les intégrons au fonds de Transport Canada où est déjà consigné le même type de dossiers pour les années précédentes.

These files created by Transport Canada were transferred to the Transportation Safety Board (RG156) when it was created in 1990. The files are arranged in the Transport Canada fonds because TSB never integrated them into their own recordkeeping systems, and because other similar records are arranged with TC from similar time periods when it was responsible for aircraft safety investigations and reporting.
