St. Charles and Huron River Railway Company : The St. Charles and Huron River Railway Company, a Mackenzie and Mann company, was incorporated on 14 March 1912 under Quebec Act, 2 George. V, Cap. 93 to construct a railway from the line of the Quebec and Lake St. John Railway to a point near the Huron River. This 9.95 mile line from Loretteville to Stoneham was completed in 1917. It was designed to exploit the timber resources of the area and was abandoned in 1935. The company was transferred from Mackenzie and Mann to the Canadian Northern in 1917. RG30 General Inventory
