Manitoba Railway Company : The Manitoba Railway Company was incorporated under an agreement approved by Dominion Order in Council dated 22 December 1902 whereby the four companies owned by the Northern Pacific Railway of the U.S. in Manitoba which were leased (via the Manitoba government) to the Canadian Northern Railway Company were amalgamated to form one company. The four were the Northern Pacific and Manitoba Railway Company, Portage and North Western Railway Company, the Waskada and North Eastern Railway Company and the Winnipeg Transfer Railway Company (Limited). The total rail mileage was 344.59. RG30 General Inventory
