Manitoba and South Eastern Railway Company : The Manitoba and South Eastern Railway Company was incorporated under Dominion Act, 52 Vic., Cap. 60 of 2 May 1889 to build a railway line from Winnipeg to the U.S. boundary near Lake of the Woods. Mackenzie and Mann obtained control in 1897 and the 109 miles of line was opened for traffic between 1898 and 1900. Effective 3 May 1900 the Manitoba and South Eastern Railway Company amalgamation with the Canadian Northern Railway Company. RG30 General Inventory
