General note:

Further material is available in accession 95-0916 WFRC. This material consists of Construction Record Ledger Books, 1908 -1923, arranged in numerical book number. (Each book has a table of contents, which is reproduced in the accompanying
box content list).

These ledger books contain a wide variety of financial accounting information concerning the construction of various rail lines and facilities of the Canadian Northern Pacific Railway in British Columbia, owned by MacKenzie, Mann & Co. Ltd. The accounting information is organized either according to the type of construction (ie, grading, water stations) or rail lines (Yellowhead Pass, Vancouver Island). Note that there is a section in Book 12 (Box 5) dealing with the James Bay Railway, another MacKenzie, Mann & Co. Ltd. project.
