Canada Air Line Railway Company : The Canada Air Line Railway Company, a Great Western sponsored company, was incorporated in Ontario (40 Vic., Cap. 33) on 24 December 1869 to build and operate a railway line from Glencoe to Fort Erie via St. Thomas. This 145.64 mile line was opened for traffic on 15 December 1873 and became known as the Great Western's Glencoe Loop. By Dominion statute (34 Vic., Cap. 44) on 14 April 1871 the Canada Air Line Railway Company amalgamated with and took the name of the Great Western Railway Company. RG30 General Inventory
