National Construction Company : The National Construction Company (Limited) was incorporated by the Grand Trunk Pacific on 26 November 1904 under Dominion Letters Patent of that date. It was formed in order to enable the Grand Trunk Pacific to issue Government guaranteed bonds on certain sections of the railway before construction. By awarding construction contracts to this company the bonds could be issued but the construction need not commence immediately. The company did not perform any actual construction but sublet the contracts. While its existence has never been officially terminated the National Construction Company (Limited) has been inactive for over fifty years. RG30 General Inventory
