Collection consists of 161 mounted postal covers. Collection is titled, Upper and Lower Canada steam-boat mail to the 1860s. The covers are indicative of the postal practices, regulations, markings, routes, etc. used during the period of 1811-1862.

Biography/Administrative history:

Stulberg, Fred : Dr. Fred Stulberg was born in Toronto. As a professional, he had a dental practice and once made a hobby of philately. His collecting activities included a specialization in Canadian postal history. He was active in several philatelic organizations. Stulberg organized and chaired the Toronto Centennial Show in 1967 and co-chaired the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada [RPSC] Show in Toronto in 1969. In simultaneous terms he was president of the North Toronto Stamp Club, the Toronto Stamp Collectors Club and the Philatelic Specialists Society of Canada. Before retiring from philately, Stulberg also held the presidency of the RPSC and stood on the executive committee of CAPEX '78. Dr. Stulberg passed away on December 29, 2013.
