Grand Trunk - Milwaukee Car Ferry Company : In November 1905 the Detroit, Grand Haven and Milwaukee Railway Company purchased a controlling interest in the Grand Trunk Car Ferry Line and a new company, the Grand Trunk - Milwaukee Car Ferry Company was incorporated on 9 November 1905 to operate the service. In addition to the ship Grand Haven (sold, 1945) the Milwaukee (lost, 1929) was purchased in 1908 and the Grand Rapids, Madison and City of Milwaukee were acquired in 1926, 1927 and 1931 respectively. Ownership passed to the Grand Trunk Western Railroad in 1929, but the company still operates under its original name. RG30 General Inventory
