Pontiac, Oxford and Northern Railroad Company : On 5 June 1889 the property and franchise of the Pontiac, Oxford and Port Austin Railroad Company was sold under foreclosure, and the new owners incorporated the Pontiac, Oxford and Northern Railroad Company to operate the line. After a period in receivership (1905 to 1908) the capital stock was purchased and operation undertaken by the Grand Trunk Western Railway Company. On 1 November 1928 the Pontiac, Oxford and Northern Railroad Company amalgamated with nine other companies to form the Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company. RG30 General Inventory
