Oshawa Railway Company : The Oshawa Railway and Navigation Company changed its name by statute (54-55 Vic., Cap. 91) on 28 August 1891 to the Oshawa Railway Company and the charter was revived. A line of electric railway for 11.86 miles through the town of Oshawa to Oshawa Junction and to Port Oshawa was built and operated on behalf of the Grand Trunk from 1 March 1910. The Grand Trunk purchased the capital stock on 6 March 1911. On 12 December 1958, the Oshawa Railway Company amalgamated with, and took the name of, the Canadian National Railway Company.
