Montreal Island Railway Company : The Montreal Island Railway Company was incorporated in 1888 (51 Vic., Cap. 63) to build a railway from Montreal to various points on Montreal Island. Sir Joseph Hickson, secretary of the Grand Trunk, is noted as being the majority shareholder. No construction was commenced and the Company seems to have disappeared after 1892.
