Beauharnois Junction Railway Company : The Beauharnois Junction Railway Company was incorporated in Quebec on 22 April 1887 (50 Vic., Cap. 70) to construct a railway through the Eastern Townships of Quebec. A line of 19.22 miles between Ste. Martine and Valleyfield was opened for traffic in 1889. Before this, on 27 September 1888, the line was leased to the Grand Trunk. On 1 January 1896, the 13.32 miles between Beauharnois and Valleyfield was leased for 99 years to the St. Lawrence and Adirondack Railway Company (New York Central). RG30 General Inventory
