Lachine and Hochelaga Railway Company : On 31 March 1883 the Lachine and Hochelaga Railway Company was incorporated in Quebec (46 Vic., Cap. 100) to build a railway from Lachine to the St. Lawrence, passing in rear of the mountain of Montreal. The line actually constructed was some 0.43 miles between the South end of the Wellington Street Bridge, Point St. Charles and the Canada Sugar Refining Works on St. Patrick Street, Point St. Charles. It was constructed by the Grand Trunk and acquired by it upon completion in 1884. There appears to be no official date or authority for this amalgamation. RG30 General Inventory
