Collection consists of a variety of private and official commemorative and first day of issue postal covers (First Day Covers - FDC) and postcards, as issued by Canada, The United States of America, Great Britain, Australia, Pitcairn Islands, and other selected foreign countries, the Vatican City and The United Nations; set of 12 adhesive labels featuring the official Provincial and Territorial Flowers of Canada; set of 14 adhesive labels entitled - Prime Ministers of the Dominion of Canada, 1867-1963; set of 14 postage stamps from The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, featuring various Stations of the Cross.

Hutchinson, Elizabeth : Elizabeth B. Hutchinson was a federal civil servant in Ottawa for over 20 years (1954-1975). She worked for the Department of Transport, the Department of Citizenship and Immigration and the Secretary of State. She was also a stamp collector. National Archives of Canada Philatelic Collection acquisition files.

Custodial history:

These materials were acquired from Elizabeth Hutchinson, Ottawa, Ontario, by the National Postal Museum. They were later acquired by the Canadian Postal Archives (and initially included in accession 1989-565 DAP).

Postal covers, postal stationary items (postcards), postage stamps and labels: Organized in file folders. Items arranged chronologically by country of issue in file folders.

Associated material note:

Royal Canadian Mounted Police commemorative covers with medallions: Retained by The National Postal Museum, when collections were divided during 1988.
