The Ottawa Branch of the Canadian Authors Association was established 20 April, 1921. The files of this sub-series include the personal correspondence files of Herbert C. Little, former Naval Commander, Royal Canadian Navy, CAA member and Ottawa Branch President. In addition to documenting issues and activities of local significance, the correspondence also provides some information on the planning of the CAA Convention held in Ottawa at Carleton University, 25-29 June, 1963, and on the production of the centennial anthology "A Century of Canadian Literature/Un siècle de littérature canadienne", for which Little acted as the liaison between the English and French editors, H. Gordon Green (Montreal) and Guy Sylvestre (Ottawa), respectively.
