Photographs taken by Lew Weekes of the Canadian Army Film and Photo Unit on a trip from Brussels, Belgium to the attend the first anniversary commemoration of the D-Day landings at Bernières-sur-Mer, Normandy. There are images of Brussels and Paris, and people and places in Normandy including Caen, Le Fresne-Camilly, Gruchy and Cruelly. Weekes is seen in some photographs, as are his colleagues Captain Gillian Hessey-White (who was the tour's conducting officer), Captain Gordon Aikman and the British photographer, Sergeant Chris Travis.
