Bay of Fundy Tidal Power Review Board (Canada) : The increasingly high costs of energy and rising public awareness of environmental concerns in the early 1970's prompted renewed interest in the feasibility of a large scale tidal power project in the Bay of Fundy. The Governments of Canada, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia, decided to reconstitute the Atlantic Tidal Power Programming Board as the Bay of Fundy Tidal Power Review Board (BFTPRB) in February 1972. This new Board was to review the ATPPB's findings and make further recommendations. The BFTPRB consisted of five board members, three federal government representatives, and one representative each from the provincial governments. The Management Committee, under the general direction of the Board, administered and managed the study. R.H. Clark, a senior advisor in the Inland Waters Directorate and the former Chairman of the Engineering and Management Committee of the ATPPB, was the Chairman of the Management Committee of the BFTPRB.
