Series consists of the records of the Quinze Rapids Improvement Company. The Quinze Rapids Improvement Company was established in Hull, Quebec in 1892. It was organized to acquire works at the Quinze Rapids and make other improvements as necessary for the transmission of logs on the Quinze River. Shareholders in the company included most major Ottawa Valley lumbering figures, namely, Booth, Bryson, Bronson, Gillies, McLachlin, Barnet and Riordon. E.H. Bronson served as the company's first president, while G.B. Greene was named the company's Secretary/Treasurer. Works and improvements of the Quinze Rapids Improvement Company were managed by the ICO.

Records include the stock subscription book and the company letterbook of the Quinze Rapids Improvement Co. The letterbook contains administrative and operational correspondence, as well as reports on improvements to the works, the movement of logs, inspection reports and financial accounts.
