Series consists of unnumbered reference files relating to the official opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway on 26 June 1959. The opening of the Seaway was the principal function of the Royal Visit of 1959, so these files deal with the Queen's visit as well.

Also available is a selection from the back log sheets of the St. Lambert and Beauharnois locks of the transit and cargo declaration and vessel pre-clearance forms for the vessels which proceeded through St. Lambert Locks with the Royal Yacht Britannia for the official opening of the Seaway.
