Canada. Dept. of Indian Affairs. Portage la Prarie Agency : The Portage La Prairie Agency was responsible for the bands in the Treaty 2 region of Manitoba. The first agent was appointed on 1 January 1877. In 1968 the Portage La Prairie Agency merged with the Dauphin Agency to form the Brandon District. Regional Administrative Histories, 1958-1990, (Bands, Agencies, Districts). Unpublished draft in the possession of the RG10 archivist, prepared by Peter Kiefl et al.
