Sub-series consists of hiring and separation surveys created and/or maintained by the National Employment Service. During 1947-1965, the local offices of the National Employment Service collected statistics on hiring and separation in industry in their areas each month. This material was compiled on a semi-annual basis into thirty-six surveys. The returns are here grouped by region, province, city and industry, and the most important statistics are expressed in percentages as well. A list of the material contained in each survey logbook is available.
