Canada. Indian Affairs Branch. Cowichan Agency : The Cowichan Agency in British Columbia was established by Order-in-Council, 3 April 1881. The agency office was located in Maple Bay (1882), Quamichan (1885-1904), Duncan's Station (1906-1910), and Duncan (1911-1969). In 1969 the Cowichan Agency became part of the newly-created South Island District. Finding aid 10-202: Guide to Indian Bands and Agencies in British Columbia.
