Canada. Parliament. House of Commons. Select Committee to Examine and Report upon a National Plan of Social Insurance : The Select Committee to examine and report upon a national plan of social insurance, known as the Social Security Committee, was appointed 3 March 1943. The committee consisted of 41 Members of Parliament and was requested to examine and report to Parliament on the existing social legislation of Parliament, the provinces, and other countries and to "report on a national plan of social insurance which will constitute a charter of social security for the whole of Canada." 1943 Journals of the House of Commons
