The series consists of material accumulated by George A. Gundersen. The records include various engravings by other printers, designers and companies. These records also include five programs from the International Plate Printers Die Samplers and Engravers Union of North America, containing prints from various engravers. All of these records were used by Gundersen while researching designs for revenue stamps, postage stamps and currency as Art Director of the British American Bank Note Company, while at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, or doing private commission work.
