Series consists of electronic records in a computer system called Correspondence Control Manager (CCMS). The records cover the period between April 1991 and March 1992, when the Law Reform Commission was abolished. The CCMS superceded the microfiche indexing system. As such, CCMS allowed for the identification of documents by subject, title, or author. CCMS covers both administrative and operational records.

(Paper) While most of this finding aid relates to the microfiche records of the series "Microfiche Index of Operational Records", the last page provides some information regarding the Correspondence Control Manager System. The finding aid alone, however, will not suffice for those wishing to consult the electronic records in this system. The system documentation accompanying the computer cartridges will have to be examined. Once a particular file or document has been identified using CCMS, the researcher will still have to consult finding aids 143-1 and 143-2 in order to determine the volume (i.e. container number)in which the actual hardcopy file resides. Consult Archivist. 143-4
