The briefing materials in this sub-series consist of staffing instructions from the prime minister, information on ongoing environmental programs, agendas and proceedings of cabinet committees and files on significant environmental issues and events.

The schedules, itineraries and agendas exist in daily, weekly and monthly formats. They detail how and with whom the minister spent his time, as well as what he did. Inter alia, there is an indication of ministerial participation in meetings, openings, unveilings, visits, tours and the like. There are also weekly roll-ups of priority scheduling of events for the minister to attend.

The chrons (copies of outgoing correspondence) in this sub-series consist of substantial correspondence with other MPs, ministers and high officials, largely at the federal level.
