Exquisite Knitting Mills (Canada) : Exquisite Knitting Mills (Canada) Limited was established in 1962 in Montreal as a producer of double-knit fabrics. Fireside Fabrics (Canada) Ltd, was a major investor in the new company, and eventually assumed control of its operations. John Roman became President of both Exquisite and Fireside.

Dominion Textile acquired control of Exquisite Knitting Mills (Canada) Ltd. when it bought Fireside Fabrics (Canada) Ltd in 1970. Dominion Textile then amalgamated Exquisite's operations with Brianyl Limited, and merged both companies into its affiliate, Lana Knit.
