Sub-series consists of the executive records, labour records, subject files and financial records of Lana Knit Canada Limited. The majority of records document Lana Knit's existence as a subsidiary of Dominion Textile. Records include the corporate minutebooks, labour agreements, copies of employee union cards and financial statements. There are also files on government grant applications and one file on the merger between Lana Knit and Exquisite Knitting Mills (Canada) Limited.

Lana Knit Canada : Lana Knit Canada Limited was established in 1962 in Grand'Mère, Quebec to produce double-knit fabrics. In 1969, when double-knit fabrics became very popular, Dominion Textile bought Lana Knit as a joint venture with National Distillers and Chemical Corporation of New York. Dominion Textile acquired complete control of Lana Knit in 1970 then merged its operations with other DomTex subsidiaries, Exquisite Knitting Mills (Canada) and Brianyl. The new affiliate, with plants in Grand'Mère and Paris, Ontario, continued to operate under the name of Lana Knit. In 1975, when the double-knit market declined, Dominion Textile began to phase out Lana Knit and closed its plants.
