Album contains photographs of Christian Theodore Pedersen and some of his voyages in the Arctic. Images document whaling activites, northern communities (mainly in Alaska but also Herschel Island, Yukon), walrus hunting and ice breaking. There are also images of vessels M.S. Herman, Nigalik, Nanuk, Patterson and Maud. Individuals in the photos include Pedersen, his wife, May, and Arctic explorer Roald Amundsen, as well as unidentifed Inuit men and crew members.

General note:

This ablum was formerly entitled Views of the Canadian north, vol. 2.
Photograph no. 24, "St. Lawrence Island Eskimo and large walrus head on deck, 1927" is missing from the album.
