Sub-series consists of central registry records that document the work of the Animal Diseases Research Institute and its predecessors in the Department of Agriculture between 1903 and 1967. The bulk of the material was created between 1930 and the late 1950's. There are files on the work of committees, associations and congresses related to animal diseases research. There are also personal files as well as those which largely deal with specific animal diseases such as Anthrax, Newcastle Disease, Botulism, Foot Rot, Swine Rhinitis, Swamp Fever, Encephalomyelitis, Redwater Disease, Meningitis, and Rabies. Related files document animal and poultry exports, associated research with other laboratories and diseases and quarantines of special animals.
