Sub-series consists of records relating to the Royal Commissions on the Natural Resources of Saskatchewan and Alberta which were created and accumulated by the Office of the Deputy Minister. The records relate to the preparation of information for the use of the Dominion Counsel and include: Saskatchewan reference books (Vols. 13-22); Alberta reference books (Vols. 23-37); miscellaneous material (Vols. 38-44); and correspondence files (Vols. 45-81). After the Commission made its report, these files were sent to be registered with departmental correspondence, but were not integrated in the Dominion Lands Branch central registry.
