Fonds comprises editorial cartoons by Ingrid Rice, the majority of which were published through syndication in newspapers across Canada. The works, within each accession, have been arranged chronologically.

Recurring themes include B.C. politics, federal-provincial relations, the forestry and fishing industries, women's issues, human rights, environmental issues, gun control, health care, the Canadian military, aboriginal issues, education and the Quebec referendum.

Rice, Ingrid : Editorial cartoonist and graphic designer. Ingrid Rice has worked in the areas of communications, for B.C.T.V., and graphic design, as an art director for T.V. Week. Her freelance graphic art company, entitled "Ouridea", was set up in 1980. She is also a self-syndicated cartoonist and her work is published in over 50 markets across Canada. See various editions of publication entitled "Portfoolio", published by the members of the Association of Canadian Editorial Cartoonists..
