Interview of Janet Carmichael of Sand Point, Ontario, a genealogist of note and curator of the Arnprior, Ontario museum. Carmichael traces the genealogy of several families of the Ottawa Valley including the Usburn and Gillies lumbering dynasties of the nineteenth century. Other topics include the historic religious tensions in the Valley between the Irish Catholics and the Loyal Orangemen and the history of Sand Point including Sand Point's only murder-suicide involving a tragic love triangle in 1918.
