The National Hockey LeagueDescription:The film opens with Mike Bossy scoring his fiftieth goal in as many games. By doing so, he became the first player since Maurice Richard in 1945, to achieve such a feat. This is followed by brief quarter final and semi-final action. In the Stanley Cup Finals, the defending champion New York Islanders beat the Minnesota North Stars in five games. The line of Bryan Trottier, Mike Bossy and Clark Gillies turned out to be too much for Minnesota's goalies - Gilles Meloche and Don Beaupre. Also included are brief interviews with North Stars Coach Glen Sonmor, Islanders Coach Al Arbour, and players Bryan Trottier, Gilles Meloche and Conn Smythe Trophy winner Butch Goring. At the National Hockey League's Stanley Cup Luncheon, St. Louis Coach Red Berenson is presented with the Jack Adams Trophy; and St. Louis forward Blake Dunlop is presented with the Bill Masterton Trophy. <16mn>Language:EnglishNotes:Detailed holdings information: -
