Live broadcast of vehement appeal from the stage by a teenage girl for miners to return to work so that her tuition fees can be paid. Includes live broadcasts of Mrs. Leona Breen thanking Mayor Fabbro and reeves for their help, and of final resolution read by Mayor Fabbro requesting Premier Frost to arrange a meeting at the Dept. of Labour in Toronto between the elected heads of the municipality of Sudbury and the Nickel Belt, Inco officials and union officials, to arrange for a return to work before Christmas. Commentary by Ralph Connor on the series of events which led up to the meeting at the Sudbury Arena and the defiance of the union order by committees of women who showed up.
