Sub-series consists of one file entitled "Survey of Lands in Canada," which was compiled by Frederick Hatheway Peters, Surveyor General from 1924 to 1948. The file contains a copy of a draft report entitled "Certain Provisions of the Statutes Governing the Survey of Lands in Canada," correspondence between Peters and provincial surveying authorities on the subject of federal and provincial surveying legislation in Canada, and copies of reference material gathered by Peters in the course of his research. This file, originally numbered "9-2-P," was not part of the central registry of the Office of the Surveyor General, and may have been part of a file series created by Peters before he became Surveyor General.
