Collection consists of three photographs including: remains of the Duc d'Anville, High Admiral of France, who died in 1746 at Chebucto (Halifax, N.S.) and was reburied in 1749 at Louisbourg, N.S., 1932. The remains were discovered at Louisbourg in June, 1932. Also included is a portrait of Mr. Hupman, Allendale, N.S., who is thirty-six inches tall, n.d.; and portrait of Mr. and Mrs. Van Buren Bates, both of whom are eight feet, one inch tall and weigh five hundred pounds, ca. 1878-1888.
