The series consists of files relating to Sydney Newman's career as a film producer with Associated British Films in England, 1968-1970. Included are a number of files on his never-produced projects "Big, Big Tickle" and "Nightclimber", a card index recording contracts and contacts, correspondence and memoranda, the scripts for "Stag by Moonlight" and "Under the Knife", and a television quiz show proposal. Among the correspondents are Michael Spencer 1966; Hugh Greene, Peter Luke 1967; Nathan Cohen 1967-1968; Don MacPherson 1967, 1969; Ron Weyman 1967-1969; David Attenborough, Michael Frayn, John Grierson, Richard Lester, Ken Loach, David Mercer, George Melly, Eric Porter, Sam Shopsowitz, Ted Willis 1968; Leo Orenstein, Ralph Ellis 1968-1969; Ralph Foster, Leonard White, Graham McInnes 1969; and Tony Garnett 1969-1970.
