Fonds consists of papers and articles by Robinson on autogenous grinding, Cornish mining terminology, clean propulsion, and changing the Central Canadian climate with nuclear power stations. In addition, there is a list of services and operations of Fairfield Projects Ltd., two versions of Robinson's curriculum vitae, and a list of autogenous and semi-autogenous mills worldwide, 4 pages.

Fonds also consists of sound recordings of an interview conducted by Bertrand Robinson in 1972 of Hugh Sutherland, a 105 year old former mining promoter.

Robinson, Bertrand Gerald William, 1907- : Bertrand G.W. Robinson was born in Weston, Ont. He received a B.A.Sc. (Honours) in mining engineering from the University of Toronto in 1930, and an M. Eng. in metallurgy from the same institution in 1949. He worked as a mill superintendent and mine manager before joining Hardinge Co. of York, Pa., in 1939, where he was responsible for the specification, sales, manufacture, and application of process equipment in Canada. He worked in Canada while at this post. In 1946, he founded Fairfield Projects Ltd., an engineering consulting firm to the mining and mineral processing industries.
