Photographic material created by Rolof Beny during his visits to Lebanon in 1956 and 1963. Images of Balbek and Byblos were published in "Thrones of Earth and Heaven" 1958. Beny returned to Lebanon in 1963 to photograph the ruined city of Baalbek, the Frankish castle at Byblos and the city of Tyre for "Pleasure of Ruins".
