Paré, Pauline, 1928-1996 : Pauline Paré est née le 20 janvier 1928 à Plessisville (Québec). Elle entreprend des études musicales, d'abord avec sa mère, organiste et professeur de piano, puis avec le compositeur Rodolphe Mathieu, directeur-fondateur de l'Institut canadien de musique d'où elle obtiendra un diplôme.
Madame Paré commence sa carrière à la télévision de Radio-Canada le 15 décembre 1954 où elle est,jusqu'en 1970, script-assistante au service des émissions musicales comme "L'Heure du concert", "Concerts pour la jeunesse" et "Les Beaux Dimanches". Son travail consiste à seconder le réalisateur pendant la préparation des émissions. Elle doit, entre autres, dresser la liste détaillée des besoins en décors, maquillages, costumes, accessoires, graphiques, artistes, répétitions. Elle aide à sélectionner et engager les exécutants, tient un relevé quotidien des heures de répétition, dresse l'état des frais de l'émission et prépare les textes annotés pour l'aiguilleur, les bruiteurs et techniciens du son.
Le 1er décembre 1970, Pauline Paré est nommée réalisatrice au service des émissions musicales à la radio FM de Radio-Canada, poste qu'elle occupe jusqu'à sa retraite en 1993. Elle réalise, de 1970 à 1993, les émissions quotidiennes, hebdomadaires et biebdomadaires: "Au risque de vous plaire"(chansons françaises), "Avec ou sans soleil" (musique douce), "Fêtes et anniversaires" (musique classique), "A fleur de nuit"(chansons françaises et musique classique), "Pour ceux qui aiment" (émissions à thème) et "Musique de table" (classique). De 1970 à 1993, elle s'occupe aussi de la réalisation, de la coordination et de l'enregistrement des concerts de l'Orchestre symphonique de Montréal ainsi que d'une sélection des concerts d'autres orchestres au Canada. Elle est également responsable de la production et réalisation de l'émission "Concert de la francophonie", diffusée en direct en France, en Belgique, en Suisse et au Canada, le 2 novembre 1986, en l'honneur du 50e anniversaire de Radio-Canada.
En 1991, Pauline Paré est récipiendaire du Prix du président (Société Radio-Canada) "...pour avoir fait preuve d'une grande rigueur professionnelle, d'un souci de la qualité, d'un désir d'excellence et d'un enthousiasme inlassable; pour avoir contribué à la promotion des musiciens canadiens au Canada et à l'étranger, et par le fait même, au rayonnement de la SRC." Un an plus tard, soit en 1992, elle reçoit la médaille du Gouverneur général du Canada.
