Item is a bound text. It was printed by Augustin Coté, of Upper Town, Quebec City, in 1862, for the use of Postmasters in Canada.

This copy was used by Kyran Bergin, in the course of his activities as a postmaster with the Cunard Line (a steamship line commissioned to transport mails between Liverpool, England and New York/Boston).

Bergin, Kyran, flourished 1850-1862 : Kyran Bergin was born near Ballyragget, Ireland in the early part of the 19th century and was educated at St. Kyran's College in Kilkenny. He emigrated to England after or during the Irish Potato Famine. He lived in Liverpool, where, in the 1860s, he worked as a postmaster on-board a Cunard White Star Liner. Donor
