The series includes: a copy of The Shakespeare Memorial Theatre: A Photographic Record, 1948-1950; the passport used by Findley while working in London as an actor; as well as a guest book kept by Findley and Whitehead in 1964.
Series also consists of three sub-series: Theatre programmes; Scrapbooks; and Clippings & reviews.
Ephemera and objects include awards, gifts and mementoes Findley and Whitehead acquired from friends and professional institutions which include: stautettes from the Humber School For Writers, the National Radio Awards, the Gabriel Awards, and the CBC; plexiglass obelisks from the Canadian Booksellers Association and the Canadian Book Industry Awards; a wooden box from the Trillium Book Awards; a ghoulish puppet from the Arthur Ellis Awards; a quill pen from Stratford actors; a vase from the Floyd S. Chalmers Canadian Play Awards; a miniature bust of Edgar Allan Poe from the Edgar Allan Poe Awards; a glass block from the City of Toronto Book Awards; and one unusually-shaped rock with sentimental value; bronze star plaque from the city of Stratford; a Bob Edwards award; the Order of Canada medal; three Canadian Author Association awards for fiction, non-fiction and drama; and a Chevalier de l'Ordre des arts et des lettres medal. Bill Whitehead created labels for the Order of Canada and the Chevalier de l'Ordre des arts et des lettres medals. These labels are housed with the medals.
